I installed MultiMC, and when I tried to run the game, it finally threw out an error message I could use which said my Java version is out of date, and I need to update Java to _ minimum version to run the game.Trails & Tales 1.20 FAQ | Login/Stolen Account Problems | Technical Problems On /r/Minecraft Ironically, it wasn’t until I installed a third-party Minecraft Launcher that I ended up solving it. I tried every tiny recommendation I could find. I tried everything: I reinstalled the game several times, I deleted any files associated with it, updated my computer to the latest windows version, everything. Let alone, why doesn’t Microsoft/Mojang fix the problem themselves when installing, but I digress. It doesn’t help that there’s no indication of what’s wrong and how to fix it. The longer version is that basically, I downloaded and installed “Minecraft: Java & Bedrock” from the Microsoft store, which I guess comes with the Minecraft Launcher, but I could not get past the “unable to update the Minecraft native launcher” error. I’m commenting here because this was one of the top Google search results I saw when I was trying to solve this problem, and I want to pay it forward. Tl dr update your Java version to the latest version needed by the Minecraft launcher/game. Could this simply be a bug with the new launcher update? Or am I able to fix this somehow. But unfortunately this loop repeats itself every time I try to launch the game. I then notice it is missing from my desktop file location, so I replace it. I notice that as I try to repair, I will get an error 1909, saying my minecraft launcher.ink is missing. However, if I relaunch the game, I am met with the message, "Unable to update the Minecraft Native Launcher." I've attempted to run as admin, repair the files, etc. I can launch the game once and actually play. The closest I've gotten is downloading the Windows 7/8 launcher. I also attempted installing the Microsoft store launcher, but that led to the same outcome.

I backup my files and reinstall, only to find I run into the same issue. I've had Minecraft for 10 years and have never came across this issue. When 1.19 released, the Java Minecraft launcher gave me a message that read, "your Minecraft is corrupt, reinstall" something along those lines. I've been stuck with this problem for 2 days, and I'm completely lost on what to do so any help is appreciated. (#spoiler) = neat! (/rose) = ( full list)
